Who is it for?

This A2 biology revision course is suitable if you have studied, or are studying:

·        A2 unit F214: Communication, homeostasis and energy

·        A2 unit F215: Control, genomes and environment

What does the course cover?

We’ll help you to:

• Understand how A2 biology exam papers are weighted
• Apply your knowledge in unfamiliar contexts
• Combine knowledge from different units, where required
• Avoid misinterpreting questions, so you always provide a relevant answer
• Avoid giving rehearsed responses which don’t answer the question

What exam knowledge does it teach?

This A2 biology revision course focuses on working through problems with the tutor. We’ll also give you specific advice in key areas to help with your A2 biology exam:

·        Applying your knowledge in unfamiliar situations

·        Understanding how A2 biology paper questions are weighted

·        Learning how to process and manipulate data

·        Answering questions by combining things you’ve learnt in different units

You will be given every opportunity to ask your A2 biology revision tutor questions, and we will review past papers and offer rapid feedback. We do not let students do past papers without providing guidance and feedback.

We also perform active learning, which may involve acting out events and encouraging visualisation of key concepts.
