Why choose Justin Craig?

Our business is helping GCSE, AS and A2 students do as well as they can in their exams. And that’s all we do.

We know it can be hard to find the right revision courses for your child – especially with so many companies claiming to offer the best revision for GCSE and A level. But with 30 years’ experience and thousands of satisfied students, we can prove our approach delivers the best results.

What to ask before choosing a revision course >>

Revision for GCSE and A level that’s different

We offer exam preparation that’s individually tailored for your child. By putting students into small groups (no more than eight students), we allow them to work together and share ideas in a stimulating, distraction-free environment.

These revision courses are not simply ‘more school’. They can be more effective than one-to-one tuition too, because we know students consolidate learning and revise best when they are focused and supported in a small, non-judgemental group, where they can learn from others and still be heard themselves.

Of course, home revision has a crucial part to play in your child’s success. But a Justin Craig course will give them better foundation, motivation and confidence to take on the exam challenge.

The right revision methods

• Student-led
Before the course, students tell us where they need help and guidance. This enables our tutors to cover their individual needs into the group discussion.

• Knowledge consolidation
Our tutors are skilled at establishing what your child knows and needs during the course, building upon their existing knowledge and closing gaps – which can make a huge difference to final graders.

• Exam technique
Tutors demonstrate how approaching exams methodically, interpreting questions correctly, identifying command words and formulating appropriate responses can result in extra marks.

• Revision technique
Courses start with the basics – including coping with overload and anxiety. Then we cover revision timetables, flow charts and Q&A techniques, in the context of the specific GCSE or A level subject.

The best surroundings for revision

• Neutral, stimulating environment
Simply taking a student out of their normal learning environment can work wonders. A fresh teacher plus an empathetic peer group lets students cover ground they may not have properly understood at school.

• Small groups – but not too small
We’ve been doing this for more than 30 years, and we’ve seen conclusively that the best way to learn is in groups of between four and eight students. It creates mutual peer support and easy exchange with tutors.

• Friendly expert tutors
98% of our tutors work in mainstream education. Most are examiners, with specific knowledge of the exam materials. We are careful to choose enthusiastic, energetic, knowledgeable tutors.

Revision for the right reasons

• Confidence building
Every revision course offers a challenge, but we pay great attention to the needs of every student - and we plan courses accordingly. We’ll give your child the confidence to tackle any exam scenario.

• Free from distractions
Daily life is busy, with mobile phones and Facebook calling for immediate attention. But effective revision requires total concentration. Our revision courses provide a focused environment away from tempting distractions.

• Get the right balance

It’s the holidays but exams are looming. By dedicating specific blocks of time to revision, your child knows they have made time to work hard and to relax – so they won’t feel guilty when they take time out.
