How to Choose the Right Justin Craig Revision Course - Justin Craig Education

Selecting a Course

Why choose a Justin Craig revision course?

Our revision courses are aimed at supporting students to achieve their full potential in their forthcoming GCSE, AS or A2 exams.

Ensuring your revision time is effective is crucial in ensuring you equal or better your predicted grades. Our revision courses will help you consolidate your understanding of key topics whilst further improving your exam technique.

Which course?

We offer several courses throughout the year. Below is a brief outline of each of our courses which will help you identify which course best meets your child's needs.

Christmas/ New Year Revision: This is a course offered with the January mocks, modules and re-sits very much in mind. After a busy festive period during December, this course is perfectly timed to offer you expert support just prior to your exams.

Easter Revision: This is our main programme as this is the most important time for revision. By the end of the spring term students will have finished studying most of the syllabuses at school or college, and so Easter is the last main holiday before the May and June exams.

May Day Weekend Revision: The course is offered at the start of May, for all exams being taken during May. We introduced this course as many GCSE and AS exams are being taken increasingly early, particularly before May Half Term.

May Half Term Revision: The last main holiday time before the bulk of exams in June. It is a perfect course to build on previous revision at Easter or May Day Weekend.

How many subjects?

Factors you may consider in deciding which subjects to prioritise should include those subjects required for University entrance or preferred career path.

It is possible by attending Easter and both May Courses to revise up to 12 GCSEs or 5 A-levels, sufficient, hopefully, to cover most, if not all, of the subjects.

Which subjects?

We cover all the main subjects at GCSE, AS and A2 level. Please see the revision subjects page of our website for a full list of subjects available. We aim to offer a wide variety of subjects, but please be aware that we sometimes have to offer some of the less popular subjects at our residential centres to ensure the course has sufficient numbers to run.

We will always endeavour to provide your preferred course choice, but it is important you select an alternative course in the event this is not available. We will contact you should your preferred choice not be available for any reason.

Residential or Day centre?

All of our centres offer the same quality of tutors. All of our courses offer 18 hours(except New Year) of study time over 3 days, although the timetable is slightly different at Residential and Day Centres to reflect the evening lessons that take place at residential centres. Residential Courses are exactly the same number of hours as day centres (i.e. 18 hours) but spread out throughout the day with good breaks.

Lessons finish at 8.30pm, by which time students will be sure to want to relax! There are often some sports activities offered during the evening, but availability varies from centre to centre.

If attending a Day Centre, then students will need to bring a packed lunch and any snacks or drinks. A dining room will be provided, but please note there are no catering facilities available on site.

A timetable for a course for each centre are as follows:

Day Centres:

  Day 1 Day 2 Day 3
9.30am – 11am Lesson 1 Lesson 5 Lesson 9
11.15am – 12.45pm Lesson 2 Lesson 6 Lesson 10
