For students whose GCSE and A level exams were cancelled in May and June 2021, Justin Craig Education is offering online revision courses in key subjects, for those who wish to sit the exams this Autumn.
The A level exams take place throughout October, whilst the GCSE exams take place in November. Students will need to liaise with their school or college to arrange their exam entries.
A Level Revision Courses
A Level revision days will take place on Saturdays throughout September. These online courses will be topic based to revise the key concepts of the syllabus needed for the exams. Each course provides six hours of tuition in a group of no more than eight students.
During October we have also scheduled one-day pre-exam courses on the Saturday or Sunday preceding the relevant exam. These online courses are exam board and paper specific, with students able to request help with specific topics or exam skills. Each course provides six hours of tuition in a group of no more than eight students.
GCSE/IGCSE Revision Courses
GCSE revision courses will take place during the October half term. These courses will cover one subject and focus on the key topics and concepts of the syllabus that are needed for the exams. Courses provide tuition in a group of no more than eight students and will be two days in length.
Low Predicted Grades and Standardised Grades
In 2021, due to the Coronavirus pandemic all May/June exams were cancelled to be replaced, instead with standardised grades, also known as teacher assessment grades. This grades are based on a mixture of classwork, performance and mock exam results, and are, in their essence, a calculated grade. For students who receive low predicted grades and would wish to amend them, the autumn term will offer the opportunity for A Level and GCSE exam resits.
