Centre Overview

Beaconsfield High School is a girls’ grammar school in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire of some 1000 students. The school, one of the top-performing state schools in the country, is situated in the heart of the historic town of Old Beaconsfield on a pleasant and spacious green field site. Beaconsfield is easy to reach, being within five miles of Slough, Amersham, Gerrards Cross and High Wycombe, with good public transport and road links.

At Beaconsfield, we do not offer meals and recommend students either bring a packed lunch or buy something from one of the local shops in the town centre, which is approximately a 15 minute walk from the school. There is a small snack shop onsite selling sweets, drinks and savoury snacks.

By car

Leave the M40 at Junction 2, for the A335 exit. At the roundabout take third exit. At Pyebush Roundabout take the first exit. At Trott road, take the third exit onto Aylesbury End. Turn left at Wattleton Road.

Free onsite parking is limited and the bus bays at the front of the school do have restrictions in place. Please be aware that if driving on to site, there is a 5mph speed limit, and the site operates a one-way system.

By public transport

Beaconsfield High School is well served by public transport with good train and bus links with central London and elsewhere in Buckinghamshire.

Beaconsfield train station is located about 20 minute walk from the school, with services operated by Chiltern Railways to/from London Marylebone ( 25 mins), Aylesbury, Birmingham, Stratford-upon-Avon, High Wycombe and beyond.

There are several local bus routes from surrounding areas, including the A40 or 740 from Gerrards Cross, the 336 or 580 from High Wycombe, the 336 from Amersham and the 74 from Slough.
