Safeguarding and Child Protection

Our Policy

Justin Craig Education is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people. In order to do this, we have robust policies and procedures in place that are regularly reviewed.

Whilst we are not defined as a school, we have adopted the higher standard described in the Government’s approved code of practice “Keeping Children Safe in Education”. This includes:

  • Maintaining a safe environment in which children can learn.
  • Practising safe recruitment of our tutors and staff.
  • Ensuring staff are aware and adhere to our safeguarding measures.
  • Maintain a system that effectively responds to any concerns raised.

In particular, we only employ experienced teachers (and not university students) who have to provide a clear enhanced DBS with barred list check, every 3 years.
